CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla (SNN TV) – The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office seized arcade machines from two county businesses.

CCSO said they, along with the Florida Gaming Commission, sent out two warnings to gaming establishments in the county, warning them of illegal activity in their businesses.

Sheriff Bill Prummell said two arcades that were owned by the same people stayed open after receiving the warnings.

CCSO said they subpoenaed bank records, which eventually led to a search warrant served Wednesday. Prummell says the sheriff’s office seized 196 illegal gaming machines along with “a large amount of cash.”

The investigation into these businesses is ongoing.
