ARCADIA, Fla. (SNN TV) – A 40-year old Wauchula man was killed after being hit by a car in DeSoto County.
The Florida Highway Patrol says this happened Thursday at 7:18 p.m..
A man was driving a van north on the inside lane of U.S. Highway 17 and approaching the intersection of Southwest Skates Street.
The Wauchula man was riding a bike north on the inside paved shoulder of U.S. 17, also approaching the intersection.
He entered the northbound lane and was hit.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
