SARASOTA, Fla. (SNN TV) – A downtown Sarasota restaurant is moving, but not too far from its current location.

Michelle’s Brown Bag Cafe announced that it’s leaving its current location at Sarasota City Center on Main Street. They’ll be moving to Burns Court District at 630 South Orange Avenue.

According to the Herald-Tribune, the owner, Michelle Connor Ettinger, says she thinks the area will be convenient for locals in the neighborhood. There will be indoor tables as well as seating on the outside patio.

The current location offers only counter service, whereas the new location will allow for counter and full service.

The goal is to close the restaurant in mid-January and then reopen in February. Its hours will be 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Ettinger told the Herald-Tribune she hopes to eventually open a Michelle’s Brown Bag Cafe in Lakewood Ranch and on Siesta Key.
