SARASOTA (SNN-TV) – Cardinal Mooney senior Connor Heald announced yesterday that he’s committed to Husson University in Bangor, Maine.

Heald is a three-year captain and as a junior averaged 11.7 points, 3 rebounds, and one assist and steal per game. The shooting guard shot 45% from 3-point range, while shooting 53% from the field. 

This summer, Heald played AAU for the Florida Sons, where he averaged 16 points, three rebounds and four assists per game. He’s opened his senior campaign with 16 points against IMG National and 21 points versus Victory Rock Prep.   

Heald will join an Eagles program that’s off to a 4-0 start for the first time since 2018. Husson has won eight out of the last 14 NAC men’s basketball tournaments. In August, head coach Warren Caruso was inducted into the Maine Basketball Hall of Fame.
