SUNCOAST (SNN TV) – Despite the red tide, you should still plan for long wait times for happy hour cocktails and dining along Sarasota’s waterfront.
The Herald-Tribune reports restaurants such as Siesta Key Oyster Bar are seeing many customers despite the red tide smell. General manager Kristin Hale says it was at its worst during windy days a week ago, and customers are coming as conditions have become relatively better.
They’re also getting ready for Sarasota County’s spring break which begins March 13 to the point that they’re expecting a record season.
New Pass Grill on Lido says the business saw a small slowdown in February but they’re ahead of their numbers pre-COVID.
