SARASOTA- Sarasota Police say a woman is taken to the hospital with critical injuries.
The Sarasota Police believe it happened late Wednesday night or early Thursday morning. Police say the woman was found in the 1300 block of 2nd Street and was taken to Sarasota Memorial Hospital with severe, non-life threatening injuries.
“At this point it’s very early on in the investigation,” said Sarasota Police spokesperson, Genevieve Judge.”We’re trying to piece together what happened, if this woman was with someone, if somebody saw her, if she was working in the area, that’s all unknown at this time. We do believe this to be an isolated incident and the public is not in any danger.”
Detectives are asking if anyone in the area of the 1300 block of 2nd Street Wednesday night or early Thursday morning, and saw anything or heard anything to call the Sarasota Police Department or 911.
