SARASOTA COUNTY, Fla. (SNN TV) – A woman was airlifted following a boating accident in Sarasota on Sunday, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
The FWC received a report of the accident in the 400 block of Blackburn Point Road around 12:30 p.m.
The FWC, the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office, and Sarasota County EMS all responded to the scene where two personal water crafts were involved in a collision.
Early information indicates there were two people in each vessel and they were operating on plane when they collided, injuring one person.
A 27-year-old woman was airlifted to Bayfront Health, where she is currently receiving treatment.
