ST. PETERSBURG (SNN-TV) – Wander Franco recently began running, playing catch and hitting off a tee. The shortstop also took batting practice prior to yesterday’s game with Baltimore.
He’ll begin the next step towards a return Tuesday, as he joins Manuel Margot and Harold Ramirez in Durham on rehab assignment.
It’s unclear how long Franco’s rehab assignment may last, but a return during the team’s upcoming weekend series against the Royals seems possible.
