“We just came out to enjoy the sun, enjoy the water, so we’re just here to have a good time,” said Tourists from Lakeland, Elise, and Jarrius Haggins.
It’s the first time on Lido Key for these tourists from Lakeland.
“We live in Florida, but last time we went to the beach was like five years ago, unfortunately just from work and stuff like that, so finally for Labor Day we decided to go out, our friends invited us so we came out with them,” said Jarrius Haggins. “It’s nice, it’s beautiful, the sand feels good, it’s very nice.”
It was also a first time, for a couple who traveled to Lido from Lakeland to get a closer look at the rare shells that have washed up on the beach
“Wow, people are building trenches and digging down, it was really cool, we got like a whole bucket of shells,” said Tourists from Lakeland, Neva Durham, and Chris Durham.
Another visitor traveled almost two hours from Ocala to the Number on Beach in the USA.
“I’ve never been here before so it’s actually really nice, kind of packed but it is super-duper nice,” said Tourist from Ocala, David Gordon.
Another visitor agrees…
“It’s really nice, a lot of people are out, coming down from all over just to get out, its labor day weekend and let’s make the best of it, this is the last holiday before Thanksgiving and Christmas and new year’s and things like that,” said Tourist from Ocala, Kia Rivera.
