SARASOTA, Fla. (SNN TV) – After 20 years in business, Sweet Berries in Sarasota will serve its final frozen custard and sandwiches this weekend.

The fast-casual restaurant is known for sandwiches, sides, salads, and particularly its frozen custard ice cream. They wrote in a recent Facebook post, “This decision did not come lightly but we feel it is best for our business and our family at this time.”

Their last day of business is Sunday.

According to the Herald Tribune, Sweet Berries’ Sarasota shop is open until 10 p.m. Saturday night and 12p-10p on Sunday.

The good news is that Sweet Berries Bradenton location will remain open, so if this is one of your favorite places, don’t worry: you may just have to travel a little further for it.

Also, after five years in business, Sarasota restaurant The Public House Tap and Grill permanently closes.

The restaurant was known for its large comfort food menu, full-liquor bar with numerous craft beer options, and various food and drink specials. According to the Herald Tribune, the newspaper didn’t hear back from the business as to why it was closing.

In a Facebook post, Public House says, “We are truly grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of your lives and to have met so many wonderful people along the way. Your support and loyalty have been the cornerstone of our success, and we cherish the connections we’ve forged with each and every one of you.”
