SARASOTA COUNTY (WSNN) – More COVID-19 testing sites coming to Sarasota County this weekend.

Through a partnership with Lab Services, the Florida Department of Health of Sarasota County is hosting two walk-up testing sites. One is at the Robert L. Taylor Community Center in Sarasota and the other at Dallas White Park in North Port.

Tomorrow, the Sarasota location will be open from 9 am to 4 pm. Monday, the North Port Location opens.

“We’re seeing testing go up, and I do believe it’s because of the new variant, as well as the fact that we’re seeing a lot of people becoming sick in the community,” Florida Department of Health of Sarasota County PIO Steve Huard said.

Testing will be offered from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday at both locations. Testing is free and no appointments are required.

The PCR and Rapid Antigen tests will be available, with PCR results provided in 24 hours and rapid testing results in 30 minutes.
