SARASOTA- Get ready to revv your engines, the schedule for the next year’s Sarasota music and motorcycle festival has been revealed.

Over the past 23 years, Thunder by the Bay has raised millions for charities across the Suncoast, the festival is back this upcoming February and is billed “Where rock meets country”

“Thunder by the Bay next year is going to be bigger, and better than it’s ever been,” said General Manager of Rossiter’s Harley Davidson, Scott Kessler.

The 24th annual Thunder by the Bay Music & Motorcycle Festival, organized by Suncoast Charities for Children is scheduled for Feb. 18-20 at Sarasota Fairgrounds, where it’s taken place since 2018.

“New this year what we’ve got is what we’re calling thunder alley, guests that are not riding will be able to enter the fairgrounds through Robarts arena and see motorcycles, auto displays and one of a kind custom vehicles and motorcycles and then on the festival grounds we have continuous live music,” said Executive Director of Suncoast Charities for Children, Lucy Nicandri.

This year’s musical headliner on Feb. 19 will be rock band FireHouse, best known for their ballads “Love of a Lifetime” and “When I Look Into Your Eyes” that were Top 10 hits.

“We’ve got country as well as classic rock that will be performing live on stage throughout the weekend, we have over a 100 vendors that will be showing up, some motor cross freestyle demonstrations, a 17 class bike ride show,” said Nicandri.

On Sunday, “United We Ride, America United” charity motorcycle ride will once again take place honoring veterans, active duty military and first responders. The best part? The festival is all for a good cause.

“Last year’s event raised $225,000 dollars for Suncoast Charities for children and that all benefits children adults and teens here in our community through a number of non-profits that Suncoast Charities for children provides profits too,” said said Nicandri.

“Were doing everything we can to make this for the community, for the kids, you know Harley Davidson and kids they kind of go together hand in hand,” said Kessler.

Four additional fundraising events will also take place before the festival. For more information you can visit their website here
