BRADENTON (SNN-TV) – Nick Bollettieri, the legendary tennis coach and founder of the Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy, which served as the foundation for today’s IMG Academy, has passed away.

Considered by many to be one of the best tennis coaches of all time, he developed 10 world No. 1 players, including Andre Agassi, Boris Becker, Maria Sharapova, Venus and Serena Williams, among others.

Bollettieri founded the Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy – now IMG Academy – in 1978. In 2014, Bollettieri was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame. This passed May, he became the first inductee of the IMG Academy Hall of Fame.

His passion and enthusiasm made a permanent and lasting impact on everyone he worked with, coached, and met. He was 91 years old.
