SARASOTA – Temple Emanu-El is getting in the spirit of the holidays by hosting a Hanukah Family Fun Day.

Sunday morning dozens of students of the Temple Emanu-El Religious School and their parents enjoyed a day of fun and learning at the temple. The students and their parents traveled from station to station learning about Hanukah through games, crafts and a worksheet.

Director of Education at the school Sabrina Silverberg says understanding Hanukah is important for generations to come.

“It really gives an opportunity to embrace faith and good things that are happening in life,” said Silverberg. “It’s a fun time and a good time, it’s a community time and we hope that these customs continue for generations to come.”

The start of Hanukah begins on December 22nd and ends on the 30th
