MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. (SNN TV) – A 19-year-old was arrested after allegedly running over and killing a 17-year-old in Manatee County.
This happened in the 4600 block of 4th Avenue Drive East in Bradenton.
At around 5:07 p.m. Saturday, the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office said the teenager was run over by a car after an argument with the car’s driver. The 17-year-old boy was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver, 19-year-old Josh Oviedo, fled the area and was arrested a short time later behind a nearby shopping plaza, the department says.
Oviedo was charged with murder.
The investigation is ongoing.
