SARASOTA, Fla. (SNN) – The Crystal Classic sand sculpting event has been going on at Siesta Key since Friday, and it runs until Monday. Some things to expect at the event are live music, drinks, vendors, fantastic art and lots of sunshine.

Two of the local bands performing on Monday are called Hydromatic and Out of the Blue.

Trumpet player and keyboardist Nick Sperry plays in both bands and says attendees can expect plenty of dancing.

“And so, you’ll see some of that gospel/soul influence throughout that. We’re out here for dance music tomorrow afternoon. So, we’re going to kick up our feet, and dance a little bit with you guys. And hope to join us out here, 10:00 to 5:00 for the Siesta Key Crystal Classic,” said Sperry.

Sperry’s bands that are performing, play all cover music. They range from Michael Jackson to Bruno Mars.

This is the 3 year Sperry has performed this event, and says the atmosphere is “very chill”.

The event costs $10 to enter.
