SARASOTA – “I like this one, and I’d like to keep this one but we’ll see how the next one goes,” said Bradenton resident, Nassime Chichu

The state run covid-19 testing site, located on Cattlemen road accepted its last vehicle Sunday at 1PM.

leaving the walk-up testing site at Robert L. Taylor Community Complex as the only state run testing site for COVID in Sarasota County.

“It’s as quick as it can be, and they have the rapid test here which is ideal for me to go back to work tomorrow,” said Sarasota County Resident, Holly Walker.

Walker says this drive thru testing site has the fastest result turn out

“I needed a test today so I could return to work tomorrow and the pharmacies only have the two day lab test, they don’t have rapid testing so that makes it pretty inconvenient when you need a test right away,” said Walker.

Fellow Sarasota resident, Connie Lash said, it was her first time at the location, and was faster than expected

“Actually from what we expected from when we came in, we saw all the cars, but it took about an hour and a half,” said Lash. “I wish it stayed open because it’s nice and close, it’s convenient.”
