“What we do is we respond to the kids. It’s taught by local teachers who know how to engage the kids and handle the kids,” said Smith. “The activities again they adjust them to the kids and their interest.”

Parents will have the choice of enrolling their child in the more conventional summer camp held at the Bradenton campus. That offers arts and craft and cooking activities.

While the all new STEM program activities offered at the Lakewood Ranch campus and that allow kids to design their own app or learn online coding.

“It’s the convenience, you can do it afternoon or do it morning, you can do it the whole week, you can do it this week or skip another week,” said Smith. “We really try to make it convenient for the parents because we all know that that’s a challenge over the summer, you know keeping the kids engaged.”
