(WSNN) Sarasota-Bradenton airport passenger traffic is improving.

After a year of COVID-19, CEO Rick Piccolo says people are starting to travel again.

He says February saw about 160,000 passengers travel through the SRQ. This is an increase of 26-percent over January.

But this is down last year’s numbers in February of more than 230,000 passengers.

Piccolo says as spring break approaches, the airport expects to see more than 10,000 passengers per day.
