SARASOTA – Spring has returned and so has the 8th Annual Sarasota Fine Art Festival.
The festival welcomes about 5,000 people Saturday and even more people on Sunday.
The event is the first festival on the Suncoast since COVID-19 shutdown everything last year.
While usually hosting 100 artists, the festival hosted 80 this time around to make the environment safe and COVID friendly.
Event Director, Bill Kinney says the art festival is not only helping artist get back on their feet, but also helping merchants in Sarasota.
“We deliver, we bring customers that are going to eat and shop downtown and that important for the merchants and we see substantial increases we’ve done post show evaluations with substantial increases in revenue and we hope that’s happened this weekend for our local merchants,” said Event Director, Bill Kinney.
The Artwork ranged from paintings to sculptures to jewelry.
