SARASOTA (WSNN) – A well-deserved Sarasota senior gets a $20,000 award to go to college.
Sarasota Military Academy’s graduating cadet, Grace Wagler, received The Linda J. Jellison and Craig T. Wedge Scholarship, for young women pursuing a stem college major.
The Education Foundation president and CEO, Jennifer Vigne, and executive director of the SMA Foundation, Rafael Robles, presented the award to Wagler during Tuesday’s morning formation at SMA.
Grace earned accolades for her stellar academic GPA in high school while dual-enrolled for college credit.
She even got her Associate’s degree before graduating from SMA.
This scholarship is transformative for the cadet as it allows her to select her preferred college with financial support.
