SARASOTA – Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting at UTC Saturday night.
Around 7:30 PM, multiple people called 911 regarding a possible active shooter at UTC. According to the Sheriff’s Office, witnesses saw two vehicles exchanging gunfire in front of several UTC businesses.
The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office received no reports of any injuries or property damage. Based on their preliminary reports, law enforcement says two sedans were involved in the incident and traveled north on Cattlemen to University Parkway.
The investigation is ongoing.
