LONGBOAT KEY, Fla. (SNN TV) – A second suspect in a double-murder at a Longboat Key resort has been arrested.
According to yourobserver.com, on Jan. 12th, Longboat Key Police Department detectives took 34-year-old Latoya Hanna into custody in St. Lucie County after a six-year investigation with the Manatee County Homicide Investigative Unit and the FBI.
Hanna was arrested for felony murder and remains in custody in St. Lucie County Jail without bond, according to the article.
On the night of Aug. 4, 2017, 59-year-old night Zota Beach Resort desk manager Timothy Hurley, and 51-year-old security guard Kevin Carter were killed.
On Aug. 9, 2017, Darryl Hanna Jr., a former security guard at Zota and Latoya Hanna’s twin brother, was arrested and jailed for the murders, but he fell into a stroke-induced coma on Sept. 10, 2017, and later died.
He was arrested and charged with 2 counts of second-degree murder and one count of robbery.
Police say he stole $900 from the hotel cash register.
