SARASOTA (WSNN) – A Suncoast resident whose air conditioner was ready to go out, finds themselves receiving a free one.
Cool Today installed a brand new Lennox HVAC system in Bethany Simmons’ home in Sarasota, Saturday morning.
It was part of Lennox internationals’ ‘Spreading the Love’ campaign.
Cool Today’s PR Director, Michelle Sampson says Simmons is an unsung hero through her work as a drug and alcohol counselor with First Step of Sarasota.
Simmons says she’s very appreciative; her air conditioner was at its last brink.
“I think it’s about 18 years old, so economically this would have been a huge financial expenditure which I don’t have, so I was honored and very surprised. I’m still in shock that I received this,” Simmons said.
“We love to give back authentically to our community, and she is very much deserving of this beautiful AC,” Sampson said.
Sampson nominated Simmons to receive the nearly $6,000 HVAC system. Simmons says she’s ‘ Feeling the Love.’
