SARASOTA – Pride made its way to the Sarasota Farmers Market Saturday.

The market hosted its pride celebration in collaboration with the Harvey Milk Festival.

The event celebrated the LGBTQ+ community, with pride themed products and market vendors.

Vice President of Project Pride SRQ, Arthur Boyce, says events like these help with visibility on the Suncoast.

“We feel it’s important for people to see us, get to know us, learn that we’re nice, wonderful people, we’re fun people, we don’t have an agenda we’re not looking to do anything except make people happy and make everybody acceptable, LGBTQ, people of color, everybody, we believe that everybody deserves the same equality everywhere,” said Vice President of Project Pride SRQ, Arthur Boyce.

The Sarasota Farmers market is open year-round every Saturday from 7AM to 1PM rain or shine.
