SARASOTA (SNN TV) – The City of Sarasota and Bay Park leaders change plans for a new park.

This comes after Suncoast boaters and other residents shared concerns about a 53-acre park called The Bay which is gradually being built. According to the Herald-Tribune, people with boating interests shared concerns that parking for the northern boat ramp would decrease and parking would be more limited for nearby restaurants.

The Bay Park Conservancy made concessions for the boat ramps to stay generally in the same location and to work to expand boater parking. The organization also allowed for administrative review for structures on the property.

The City Commission approved the proposed land-use changes to the property.
