NORTH PORT (SNN-TV) – The Rays have dealt with hard times this season, being bitten by the injury bug on multiple occasions, but the Tampa soon hopes to see the return of a veteran reliever.
Today, Nick Anderson made his first appearance of the year in the Florida Complex League in North Port against the Braves.
In a third of an inning, Anderson gave up one run on one hit, striking out and walking a batter a piece, in the Rays 9-7 win.
Anderson underwent a brace-installation procedure last October to repair a partially torn UCL in his right elbow.
