SARASOTA (WSNN) – People on the Suncoast are not happy about schools reopening so they hold a drive-by protest at Bayfront Drive and Ringling Blvd.

Sarasota/Charlotte Democratic Progressive caucus member, Wilson Pava, is leading the initiative.

He created a Facebook page, “One life lost is one too many.”

He says 100 people responded to the page and about 30 cars participated in the drive-by on Friday.

The goal? He says it’s pushing the Florid Department of Health to do the right thing and tell schools it’s not safe to open in person.
