SARASOTA – A cool morning didn’t stop Baltimore Orioles fans from waiting in line for spring training tickets Saturday.

More than a hundred people patiently waited for their chance to score individual game tickets at Ed Smith stadium. Coffee and doughnuts were provided to keep people awake – and OF COURSE the Oriole Bird came out to boost morale.

Long–time friends, Will Hall and Jeff Olson camped out since four a.m. and say they’ve made a tradition of this event. “This is like the 8th year and we do it because we are baseball fans, we love baseball. We just can’t wait, it’s the beginning of spring soon and it’s that time of the year,” says Hall.

“This has become a tradition too, we might like to sleep in but we can’t anymore because it’s a tradition,” says Olson.

Tickets are still available for purchase online. The box office will be open Monday through Friday from ten to four for any fan looking to get their hands on a pair of tickets.
