SARASOTA – The Circus arts conservatory is celebrating World Circus Day with their Celebrate 70! Show at their renovated arena. The program started in 1949 allows students to train and receive credit for school for a life a circus performer.

“There were so many kids that were circus related it seemed like a P.E. class would be great for those kids they can do the circus arts as part of their schools curriculum,” said Marketing Manager of Circus Arts Conservatory, Beth Graves.

With recent renovations complete the sailor circus arena opened its door for opening weekend Welcoming crowds to World Circus Day

“It’s a great community wide celebration of the day,” said Graves.

The crowd captivated by the high flying action. But it’s what happened at intermission that surprised crowds.

“People that participated in circus are passionate about them and it brings them together as a tight knit community and it encompasses the entire world,” said Graves.

The Circus life brings people together and Sailor circus hopes to continue to entertain the crowd for another 70 years.
