SARASOTA – The Sarasota Police Department is investigating a fatal crash in Sarasota that happened Wednesday night.
The incident happened just after 10 p.m. near the intersection of U.S. 301 and 17th St. SPD spokeswoman has confirmed one fatality but very little has been released about the victim. Portions of U.S. 301 at 17th St are closed as officers continue to investigate.
