SARASOTA – The Sarasota Police Department is investigating after one person was killed in front of a 7-11 convenient store death early Saturday afternoon.
Detectives with SPD are currently conducting a death investigation at the 7-11 store on 10 South Lime Avenue, in Sarasota. Information is limited at this time as the investigation remains active and ongoing.
Spokeswoman Genevieve Judge has confirmed one person has been detained, and one person has died. The identity of the victim or the individual detained has not been released.
Sarasota Police detectives believe this is an isolated incident and the public is not in any danger.
