MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA (SNN-TV) – Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic’s chance to play in the Australian Open is once again in jeopardy.

Australian Minister for Immigration Alex Hawke announced Friday he canceled the number one ranked player’s visa. That comes days after a federal judge reinstated Djokovic’s visa.

Djokovic’s legal team is now challenging Hawke’s decision to revoke the visa for a second time, and deport him.

In an emergency court hearing today challenging the government’s order to detain Djokovic, a judge referred the case to a new court and new judge.

With his visa no longer valid, Djokovic will be held in detention until his Sunday hearing.

The clock is ticking for the player as the Australian Open is slated to start Monday.
