TAMPA (SNN-TV) – The first Sunday night game of the NFL’s 2022 season featured the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Dallas Cowboys. The last Monday night game of the campaign will also pit those two teams together.

For the first time in 40 years, the Buccaneers and Cowboys will meet in the postseason, as they wrap up the NFL’s “Super Wild Card Weekend” with a Monday Night Football showcase at Raymond James Stadium.

The Cowboys previously sent the Bucs home early from the 1981 and 1982 playoffs, but this time the Buccaneers have home field advantage after winning the NFC South. Tampa Bay won its season opener in Dallas, 19-3, in what would prove to be one of its most well-rounded performances of an up-and-down regular season.

The Buccaneers and Tom Brady expect a close game with the Boys, but with prior experience, they hope to manage a favorable outcome.

“Two seasons ago, when we ended up winning it all, there were a lot of really close plays. Last year, it comes down to plays, you know, at the end of the game that they made and we didn’t. It’s tough because there’s good teams, and little margin of error and all these teams are well coached. They got good offenses, good defenses, a lot of good play makers. Those are the best teams that are playing right now, and you got to play good if you want to advance.” – Tom Brady

Kickoff from Raymond James Stadium is set for 8:15pm this Monday, SNN will have live pregame coverage on Monday’s evening edition.
