BRADENTON (SNN TV) – If you live north of the Sarasota Trader Joe’s and have to travel very far to get there, this story will make you happy.
A new Trader Joe’s is planned at University Park at 8473 Cooper Creek Boulevard. That’ll put it next to the Marshall’s and down the street from the BJ’s at UTC.
The chain’s public relations manager confirmed Friday that the company is aiming to open the store later this year.
The Herald-Tribune has reported on pleas from customers in Manatee and north Sarasota County for a second location going back to at least 2019.
If you’re unfamiliar with the grocery chain, many loyal customers will point to the affordable prices of many items, the freshness of the food, and the fact that the freezer section contains many tasty, unique items you can’t find at other stores.
