DOWNTOWN SARASOTA, Fla. (SNN TV) – Columbia Restaurant stood lonely as a restaurant serving tapas in the city of Sarasota. But a new Spanish restaurant is joining that small group.
Beso opened about two months ago on Lemon Avenue. Beso’s drink menu includes bitters, cocktails, wines, and four different kinds of sangria.
Their food menu includes many Spanish dishes, including the traditional paella. Some of the meat and seafood include pollo ajillo — tender pieces of chicken flavored with fresh garlic, sherry, green onions, and chili flakes.
The Herald-Tribune’s dining editor raved about queso de cabra — creamy clumps of goat cheese with roasted cherry tomatoes and fresh garlic cloves served with freshly grilled bread.
Beso is at 30 South Lemon Avenue in Downtown Sarasota. For more information, visit their website here.
