DOWNTOWN SARASOTA (SNN TV) – A new restaurant specializing in ramen and yakitori opens in Downtown Sarasota.

Namo Izakaya opened in the former home of South Philly Cheesesteaks and Famous Philly Cheesesteaks. The new restaurant has ramen options and yakitori, which is a Japanese style of skewered chicken.

The Herald-Tribune’s dining editor says he tried classic tonkotsu, which has sun noodles in a braised pork belly broth, with egg, scallions, corn, and bamboo shoots.

Appetizers include spicy edamame, pork dumplings, and cucumber salad.

Namo Izakaya is at 1439 Main Street. You can call them at 941-362-3332 or visit namoizakaya.com for more information.
