MIAMI (SNN-TV) – The Miami Heat and cryptocurrency giant FTX’s partnership is coming to an end.
Miami-Dade County and the Miami Heat announced Friday they will be terminating their business relationship with FTX. The short-lived partnership ends as the CEO of FTX, Sam Bankman-Fried, resigned.The company, which is $8B underwater, announced it will file for bankruptcy.
The partnership was supposed to be a 19-year deal worth $135M. Instead, it lasted just under a year and a half.
