MANATEE COUNTY – Traditionally first responders celebrate National Night Out, a community-police awareness-raising event, the first Tuesday of August but Sheriff Rick Wells wanted to expand on that to make sure the community knows Manatee Counties first responders are always here to help.
“We are here for the community that we want them to know that we understand that there are issues that must be worked on together,” said Sheriff Wells. “We want them to know that they can call us anytime and we will respond to assist them in any way that we possibly can.”
Other first responder units such as the Bradenton Police Department, Holmes Beach Police and Manatee County EMS where just some of the organization present to meet the community they serve.
