MANATEE COUNTY- A former “Deputy of the Month” for the Manatee county Sheriff’s Office resigns after being arrested in Tampa last night.
The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office is reporting former corrections deputy Lawrence Hoag resigned today just hours after his arrest.According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Hoag was pulled over for speeding at 12:26 am on Dale Mabry Highway in Tampa.The trooper noticed signs of impairment and through an investigative process, arrested him for DUI. Hoag was hired as a Corrections Deputy in September 2016.In September of last year Hoag received the deputy of the month award.
