SARASOTA (WSNN) – A car is found submerged in a Sarasota pond after a man falls asleep on the wheel early Saturday morning, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
Sarasota County Fire personnel were called to the area of Packinghouse Road and Bahia Vista Street for a report of a Grey 2017 Buick in the water.
The call came around 4:21 a.m.
FHP reports say a middle-aged man fell asleep at the wheel and drove off into the pond. He was able to get out though.
There were no injuries or charges.
Charlotte county divers assisted the tow truck in helping pull the car out.
FHP is still investigating.
