PITTSBURGH (SNN-TV) – John Clayton, longtime NFL insider at ESPN, died Friday after a brief illness, his family said. He was 67.
Nicknamed “The Professor,” Clayton was known for reporting on the NFL in such a detailed manner.
Clayton reported for 50 years, starting in 1972 while covering the Pittsburgh Steelers.
