TAMPA (SNN-TV) – After two straight games of late game magic for the Lightning, there wasn’t any leftover yesterday against Winnipeg.

Tampa Bay was unable to find an equalizer in the third period of a one-goal game, dropping a 3-2 decision to the Jets. The Bolts did come close in the dying seconds, but Victor Hedman’s shot from the slot rang off the post and stayed out to preserve Winnipeg’s lead.

Alex Killorn and Anthony Cirelli scored the Lightning’s goals. Andrei Vasilevskiy gets saddled with the loss after making 19 saves on 22 shots.

Tampa Bay now hits the road for a pair of games against the Devils in Newark tomorrow and Thursday.
