TAMPA (SNN-TV) – The Lightning entered yesterday’s regular season finale against Detroit with nothing to be gained or lost in their playoff seeding. But, the Bolts wrapped things up on a positive note with a 5-0 shutout win at Amalie Arena.

Highlighting the win was Brayden Point scoring his 50th goal of the season and Brian Elliott making 32 saves to record his second shutout. Point joined Steven Stamkos and Vincent Lecavalier as the only Lightning players to reach the 50-goal mark.

Tampa Bay kicks off the postseason next week against the Maple Leafs. That series will begin with Game 1 on Tuesday at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto.
