ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (SNN TV) -The “King of Rant” is coming back to southwest Florida.

While Comedian Lewis Black isn’t coming to Sarasota as he did in December 2022, he’ll be performing this Thursday, December 14, just up the road at the Duke Energy Center for the Arts – Mahaffey Theater.

After this tour, he’s retiring, at least from the touring part. In part 1 of our interview, he spoke with SNN’s Marco La Manno about why he’s retiring, what he plans to do instead of touring, why he couldn’t initially get onto Johnny Carson and David Letterman, and the differences between topical comedy and more “evergreen” comedy.

In part 2, Lewis Black spoke to Marco about his upcoming 2024 movie, Disney-Pixar’s “Inside Out,’ why he thought the first film might flop, and how he refines his act with each show.

Tickets are still on sale for his stop in St. Pete. To purchase tickets, go to LewisBlack.com.
