LOS ANGELES, CA (SNN-TV) – Juan Soto won $1M last night with a swing that will soon be worth plenty more.
After recently turning down a 15-year, $440M contract extension from the Washington Nationals, Soto defeated Albert Pujols in the semifinals and Julio Rodriguez in the finals of the MLB Home Run Derby.
At 23 years, 266 days old, Soto became the second-youngest Derby champion, just one day older than 1993 winner Juan Gonzalez.
