MIAMI (SNN-TV) – For the first time on the young 2021-2022 NBA season, the Sunshine state’s franchises collided.

Jimmy Butler scored 36 points on 15-for-21 shooting, Bam Adebayo added 16 points and 13 rebounds and the Miami Heat pulled away in the fourth quarter to beat the Orlando Magic 107-90 on Monday night.

Markieff Morris had 16 points off the Miami bench, and Tyler Herro finished with 13 points, five rebounds and nine assists for the Heat.

Franz Wagner and Jalen Suggs led Orlando with 15 points, while Cole Anthony and R.J. Hampton each added 12 for the Magic. Mo Bamba and Robin Lopez had 11 apiece for Orlando.

Up next for both teams, the 1-3 Magic will host the Hornets tomorrow, and for the now 2-1 Heat they’ll hit the road tomorrow night to face another Eastern Conference favorite in the Brooklyn Nets.
