NORTH PORT/VENICE (SNN TV) – If you’re still affected by Hurricane Ian damage, you’re invited to take part in Community Needs Assessments being held this month in North Port and Venice.

Sarasota County Long Term Recovery Group is hosting one-on-one meetings to help address families’ unmet needs. You can speak with team members about your ongoing problems not covered by FEMA, the state, or insurance, whether it’s muck work or drywall tear-out or replacing flooded cars.

Sessions last 30 to 40 minutes. It’s walk-in only and aid isn’t guaranteed.

Bring proof of residency and a photo ID. In North Port, you can go to the Morgan Family Community Center at 6207 West Price Boulevard. The dates and times are:

  • May 8 – 9: 12 p.m. – 7 p.m. (Meeting Room)
  • May 10: 1 p.m. -7 p.m. (Multi-Purpose Room, Side A)
  • May 11 – 12: 12 p.m. – 7 p.m. (Meeting Room)
  • May 12: 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. (Meeting Room)

In Venice, you can go to South Venice Baptist Church at 3167 Englewood Road. The dates are times are:

  • May 15 – 18: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • May 19: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
