SARASOTA – Hundreds of cars lined up at the Van Wezel for its monthly food distribution even put on by All Faiths Food Bank.
Staff on site said they had a lot more people come than they expected.
14,000 pounds of food were prepared and more than 280 households were served.
Fresh produce, including eggs, milk and fresh fruit were given to every vehicle.
Team members with Carl Reynolds Law also distributed flowers.
The food distributions are scheduled the third or fourth Saturday of every month through October.
