SARASOTA, Fla. (SNN TV) — National media is expected to descend on Sarasota ahead of this week’s school board meeting.

The Sarasota-based group Social Equity through Education Alliance said ABC Nightline will cover their group before they argue to get Bridget Ziegler off of the county school board.

SEE Alliance is a Florida nonprofit of 2,000 young organizers who are registering and turning out young voters and organizing them into a movement.

Their website says they’re building communities to combat “against increasingly fascist policies” as they argue Florida’s government disenfranchises “marginalized voters and is making it intentionally harder for young people to vote.”

The group will have pizza ready for a “Practice & Prepare” event at 4 p.m. before the school board meeting starts at 6 p.m.
